holy crap, digital painting! i've been wanting to try this for a very long time. im going to post a detail pic in my scraps once this loads. omg, i love my tablet :heart:. this picture was inspired by when she said that my character Taevi would make a cute faun. and since i wanted to draw Taevi and do fanart for CoN at the same time, this is what came out. ^_^ this is atleast 10 hours of work. and i really tried on the background... im not used to them yet. ^^; so yeah, this is Taevi as Mr. Tumnus, hence the title.

Wow, very well done! He looks very realistic. Your anatomy looks well! Only the background looks a bit flat to me.. (not the two trees at both sides, wich are great, but the blue trees in the back). But besides of that, great pic! :clap:

Without references? Wow! I always use references, otherwise I wouldn't know how to do anatomy well and paint bg's. Great job!
I think if you paint the two blue trees more like the front trees, only a bit blue-green, it would already give more depth ,because those trees are not that far away that they already would seem blue (if you comprehend what I mean, sorry for the bad english...)
But I'm truly amazed that you did al this without reference!

Damn Toren, this makes me a happy Niki. First off, I LOVE the more realistic style, especially for his nose. Noses are one of the harder parts for me when drawing realistically. The fur is wonderfully rendered, it looks realstic and the fawn half is very well porportioned. The scarf texture is a nice touch too. As well as the snow arouns his feet. Looks very very nice :D

I think I have gushed enough to you already about how much I love the way this picture turned out. The snow is wonderful and I especially like the tress in the background. *hug*
