is it possible to say that one had a good holiday even though they came out of it highly depressed? it's not a big deal and yet it is... here's what happened.

the kids had a wonderful xmas, they made out like bandits and will sit and play with their new toys for hours. i got to see my family for the first time in months. on xmas day no less which i haven't done in years. i'd usually see my family on thanksgiving, and Anah's family on xmas. there was gift giving and merriment.

here's the thing... during that week 4 hours of sleep was the norm for each night for both me and Anah. i was an insomniac unless i took melatonin, but i couldn't do that with the kids off from school. someone had to be awake to look after them and it wasn't Anah's fault i couldn't sleep. she actually worked. there wasn't much sleep had on xmas day either. as a result, im currently getting my ass kicked by a cold. im sleeping a little better though. still can't sleep as much as i need to, but you have to do what you have to do espeically with kids involved. ie, if i were to take a nap right now, no one would be up to watch a 5 year old Journey whilst Anah and David are at the Dr. the icing on this stressful cake is this. over the holidays we also lost a family friend. well, my family. Anah never knew him. he was diabetic and lay down to take a nap and sort of never woke back up. im glad it was peaceful for him though. if it was his time, im glad it was painless. he was such a sweet guy. i didn't know him very well, but i did know him enough to hug him when i saw him. i've never lost anyone i was close to and still have all my grandparents. so... while it's not that close to me, i guess it hurts a little more than i thought it did.

with this depression setting in, the house being a wreck still from xmas, lack of sleep, and knowing that he's gone... i think im going to take an online haitus for a while. if i owe you something, i'll work on it as soon as i can. i haven't forgotten you. life keeps... stopping me currently. also if i need to mail you something, i will do so as soon as i have enough money to send everything, which should be soon. i apologize for taking so long and if it inconveniences anyone. if anyone is worried, i'll be fine, i just need some quiet time to pull myself back together.

i haven't done much art work wise last week due to having a guest in my house. this week it's back to the ol' drawing board... literally. XD
i might not be able to mail things out until after xmas. things are CRAZY here in florida during the holidays. >_< i hate living in a state that thrives on tourism. so many "snowbirds". im literally afraid to go to the post office due the all the people out and about. im about to make a list of things i need to mail out and the addy that goes with them. i'll get things out asap. sorry for the major delay of doom on it. >_o

and i know it could happen because i've already granted one person's wish. ^_^

Step 1.

Make a post in your dA journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

If you wish for real-life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

Step 2.

Surf around your friends list (or friends friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

1. replacements for my prisma markers and microns that im running out of
2. a stuffed white wolf with blue eyes. i've been looking for a good one of those for years XD. i admit it. i love stuffed animals.
3. a new laptop harddrive for Anah so her laptop will work and she can write more

5. extra money to get presents for people besides the kids or atleast more free time to make some :/
6. more resolve to do the things i know i should do.
7. a subscription to DA would be nice. it's not that important though.

10. Chichiri related fandom items XD. except for a plushie, since i made one myself. a pin would be nice though.

there. i made my list XD. i don't expect anyone to grant any of my wishes and i kind of feel selfish for making them, but hey. this is how i'll know what other people want ^_^.
